Abinaya’s role focuses on assisting with a multifaceted set of programs and platforms to communicate sustainability actions on campus and build engagement with a variety of stakeholders. The programs Abinaya assists with include Green Residence, Green Labs, and Green Office. Abinaya also supports the sustainability communications; this includes Instagram as well as the monthly newsletter.
Abinaya is an Environment, Resources and Sustainability Honours Co-op student at the University of Waterloo. She's specifically versed in ecology, product life cycles, and data analytics. She has experience in writing for newsletters and reporting on topics through previous writing jobs. She also has experience in working with multiple environmental groups on campus such as WEBS and ENVigorate as well as being a leader during Environment Orientation.
Abinaya loves hiking in the summer and is a huge museum enthusiast, so make sure to be on the lookout for features. Abinaya is excited to work with the Sustainability Office and engage campus in outreach and green programs, contributing to a more sustainable campus.
