Abstract

The School of Architecture at Waterloo has its new facility located in Galt, which is within the city of Cambridge. It is situated along the Grand River in the former historic Riverside Silk Mill. The building has three floors consisting of classrooms, lecture halls, computer labs, studios, faculty and administration offices, a student workshop, an art Gallery, and a Café; with approximately 400 students, staff and faculty. Since the building officially opened this fall, the waste and recycling programs are still developing. To conduct this study, we gathered information from a number of areas and completed a waste audit.
