SDSN Canada is pleased to announce the launch of a new toolkit for students interested in taking action on their campus for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for 2021 were released this week, ranking universities from around the world on their contributions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Queen’s University is the top ranking Canadian institution this year (5th), with the University of British Columbia (13th) and McMaster University (14th) also ranking among the best.

Our Spring 2021 Update

The SDSN Canada Spring 2021 Update is available now, featuring:

  • The World's Future, an innovative gamified platform to teach the SDGs,
  • A call for case studies to accelerate Education in the SDGs,
  • The Government of Canada's release of their 2030 National Strategy,

And more opportunities, resources, and news on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Canada!

On February 6th, 2021, the University of Saskatchewan's Postgraduate Medical Education Office and International Office, the Royal University Hospital, and SDSN Canada released a report in Springer Reference's Zero Hunger journal on COVID-19 and Solidarity to Alleviate Hunger.

On February 17th, 2021, the Hon. Ahmed Hussen and Hon. Karina Gould released "Moving Forward Together", Canada's National Strategy for the Sustainable Development Goals. The strategy recognizes Canada's important role in paving a path for the country and the world in the SDGs, and the importance of the Global Goals as a global blueprint for a more inclusive, prosperous world.
