Background
Social networking is the idea of creating communities of users who have a connection between them. Whether that connection is through interests, school, or an existing relationship, these networks provide a powerful way for people to interact, get to know each other, and share information. Currently, all major social networking sites have varying levels of integration with mobile networks, from simple mobile accessible pages, to more sophisticated applications. However, there is still room to innovate, particularly in the domain of location based services. The marriage of mobile location services to social networking concepts has great potential.
Project description
"No one on the corner got Swaggr like us"
Swaggr is a micro-blogging mobile application that will allow users to express themselves to a local audience. Users will be able to write text posts about interesting things they’re thinking or feeling, and other users in the vicinity can find out and respond. Furthermore, users will be able to agree or disagree, so that in any place, it will be easy to find the most interesting discussions. Swaggr will help people stay in touch with people they know, and get in touch with people they find interesting!
