DESCRIPTION:Seth Guikema is a Professor in the departments of Civil &\nEnvi
 ronmental Engineering and Industrial & Operations Engineering at\nthe Uni
 versity of Michigan as well as the founding Co-Director of\nthe Center fo
 r Risk Analysis Informed Decision Engineering at\nthe University of Mich
 igan. He is also  a Professor II in the\nDepartment of Safety\, Economics
 \, and Planning at the University of\nStavanger in Norway. He is Past-Pr
 esident and Fellow of the Society\nfor Risk Analysis and currently serves 
 as the Area Editor for the\nNatural Hazards area in the journal Risk Analy
 sis as well as on the\neditorial board of several other journals. In Janua
 ry 2027 he will\nstart as the Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair in Climate R
 isk and\nResilience Analytics at Western University.
