Event for System Design Engineers - FounderExpo Waterloo

FounderProject is on the hunt to find Canada's top student startups to get the opportunity to pitch in front of the world at the FounderChallenge on December 4.

Who are we? FounderProject is a student run VC fund making investments in student startups and fueling the global student startup ecosystem.

To kick off our hunt, FounderProject's team is throwing a FounderExpo on November 25th @ the Google Waterloo offices at 151 Charles Street West!

Waterloo Engineering Competition SYDE winners

A group of 2B SYDE students came first at Waterloo Engineering Competition in consulting.

Joshua Cheung, Christopher Ngan, Yannick Ngana and Vishal Mathur came first in consulting, winning $500 dollars and a place in the Ontario Engineering Competition.

$1,000,000 Dreamforce Hackathon

Vidyard is hosting an information session for the dreamforce hackathon, where the winner will receive a free trip to San Francisco and has the opportunity to win $1,000,000! The information session is Wednesday, November 6th from 6 - 9 p.m. at Vidyard headquarters (119 King Street West, Suite 400, Kitchener, ON, N2G1A7). Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Awards

John Baker, Systems Design Engineering (2000), the CEO of Desire2Learn, won the “Software and Technology” category at the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Awards event which was held in Toronto on October 24, 2013.
