Spotlight on PAS 1229

PAS 1229 was a tiered classroom, with two rows of tables in a horseshoe configuration, swivel chairs, and an instructor console with one blackboard to clearly signal the front of the room. The room has two pillars that obstruct the view of the front of the room for some students.

This room is scheduled to be repurposed as a flexible classroom space, including:

  • a fully flat floor to enable easy movement throughout the room,
  • movable tables that can be reconfigured into pods of different sizes or rows,
  • movable chairs,
  • multiple whiteboards around the room to enable group work, and
  • a centrally located instructor console.
