Average daily cigarette consumption in Prince Edward Island appears to have decreased fairly steadily from 1999 to 2006, and fluctuated around 15 cigarettes per day since then (Figure 2.29). Male smokers consistently consumed roughly three to five more cigarettes per day than female smokers.
