De Beers Scholarships for Women in STEM

Award description: 

Four scholarships, valued at $7,000 each, will be awarded annually to outstanding female undergraduate students entering Year One of eligible programs in the Faculties of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering wherein women are underrepresented. Preference will be given to candidates from Northern Ontario, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories. Preference will also be given to Indigenous students. Selection will be based on academic achievement (minimum 80% admission average), extracurricular achievements as assessed through the Admission Information Form (Engineering and Math students only), and contest scores as assessed through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (Math students only). An application is not required. This fund is made possible by a donation from UN Women in partnership with De Beers Group of Companies.
