Suites

Suites are shared accommodations available to single students.

Suites provide a unique opportunity for you to live closely with people from all over the world, from all areas of study, and at different levels of study. You will be placed in a suite with one or two other students, and you may make friend requests.

Suite units are furnished with bedroom and lounge furniture. The kitchen has a table and chairs, stove, fridge and microwave. All suites are air conditioned.

Two- and three-bedroom suites have separate bedrooms, a shared bathroom and kitchen, and a shared lounge.

Economy suites have separate bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a shared kitchen.

Private rooms

Private rooms include a three-piece bathroom, double bed, desk, dresser/wardrobe, microwave, and mini-fridge. These are great for single students who want their own private space on campus.

If you like to cook, you will have access to the kitchen on the fifth floor of the Grad Building, or you may opt to get a meal plan or declining balance card. Of course, you have access to all the amenities in the Building as well.

Apartments

Apartments are available to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and visiting professors at the University of Waterloo, particularly those with families or dependents.

All apartments have private bathrooms and kitchen facilities, and like all housing at St. Paul's, they have individual air temperature control (heating and air conditioning).

Apartments include a stove, fridge, and microwave, but are otherwise unfurnished. A limited amount of furniture is available for rent.

Common areas

The Graduate Apartments Building at St. Paul's was designed to promote community. There are lots of places in the building available for use by all tenants, including:

  • rooftop patio lounge
  • lounge area
  • fitness and large-screen television room
  • laundry facilities

The main St. Paul's building also has a dining facility that tenants are welcome to use on a pay-as-you-eat basis. Alternatively, tenants may purchase a meal plan or declining balance card.
