The University of Waterloo community is constantly striving for success, so it’s no surprise that we surpassed our goal of raising $230,000 for United Way KW and raised $238,000 instead. The goal amount is $20,000 more than what was raised by the uWaterloo United Way Campaign last year.
On Monday, November 19 the university’s United Way campaign reached its 2012 goal of $230,000.
“We are thrilled to announce that our goal has been met,” said Alex Lippert, co-chair of the campaign. “We’d like to thank all of our donors, we couldn’t have accomplished this without your generosity,” she added.
The University of Waterloo's United Way campaign has shown the generosity of the campus community along with its creativity as departments, faculties, units and campuses planned events ranging from talent auctions to bingo to raise money.
