A felon Makes Bail

Mark Haslett is arrested for the United Way

The Midnight Re-Caller, also known as University Librarian Mark Haslett, was set free after a brief incarceration in the Dana Porter Library yesterday, having raised $327.00 for the United Way campaign.

Jail-a-thon and Other Updates

"You still have time to contribute to the University of Waterloo’s United Way Campaign," writes the Federation of Students' Jacqueline Martinz, "but getting your pledge form in by the end of today will make sure your name is in our last draw of the campaign for lunch with President Feridun Hamdullahpur at the University Club."

Pledge forms, as well as information on other ways to donate, are on the United Way's website.

Student Engagement and Updates

"Students from all six faculties took an active role in the university's United Way campaign over the last week, handing out United Way balloons across campus and chalking messages to help raise awareness," writes Kirsty Budd, community manager at the Student Success Office. "Now at the end of its fourth week the campaign has raised over $165,000."

United Way campaign in its fourth week

The University of Waterloo’s United Way Campaign is now in its fourth week. The University community is able to contribute in a variety of ways including one-time gifts and monthly payroll deductions. The money raised from the campaign will be used by United Way KW to fund a variety of projects in Kitchener-Waterloo.
