A staggering $240,000 has been raised by the University of Waterloo’s United Way Campaign, showing that the spirit of philanthropy is alive on campus. The funds will be used by the organization to support local programs and initiatives for a variety of groups within the community.
"The University of Waterloo’s United Way Campaign has almost reached its goal of $240,000," writes Jacqueline Martinz. "Thanks to a number of generous individuals on campus over $233,000 has been raised for the organization so far. It’s not too late to donate and help the campaign meet its target. The University community is able to give in a number of ways including one time gifts, and monthly payment withdrawals.
