Beware the Ides of March

According to the Roman calendar, March was the first month of the year, Caesar saladand the fifteenth, or the Ides, marked the coming of spring. But the Ides of March assumed a whole new identity after the events of 44 B.C. The phrase came to represent a specific day of abrupt change that set off a ripple of repercussions throughout Roman society and beyond.

Enjoy Roman inspired features from March 14th to 16th as we celebrate the Ides.
