Integrated Communications

The Integrated Communications team works closely with staff and faculty across campus and at partner organizations to develop the messaging, stories and materials that articulate, represent and advance the brand and reputation of the University of Waterloo, in support of the institution’s central goals and priorities.

This includes:

  • Key message development and delivery:

    • Strategic Plan
    • Writing style guide
    • Support for University messaging in external publications
  • Development and distribution of “story” assets supporting Waterloo’s strategic goals:
    • Waterloo Stories
    • University of Waterloo Magazine
    • Marketing content
  • Audience-specific print and digital publications supporting strategic goals:
    • Entrepreneurship website
    • Facts and Figures
    • Magazine content reprints (Hardware Revolution, Out of Thin Air, Power Shift, Driving Ambition)
  • Other central institutional materials:
    • Campus Map
    • Institutional PowerPoint deck
    • Institutional videos
  • Communications leadership:
    • Communications Planning Tool — Developed in consultation with University Relations and campus partners, to aid in communications and marketing planning
  • Testing, demonstrating, measuring and sharing communications best practices
    • Content strategy, planning, development, distribution and measurement
