Connecting Water Institute researchers with external partnership and funding opportunities

Join Evelyn Allen, Manager of Corporate Research Partnerships at Waterloo, staff of the Water Institute, and special industry guests on the last Friday of every month. These informal sessions will provide researchers with an opportunity to learn how to identify industry needs, enhance research exposure and increase financial support.

Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) is an alliance of oil sands producers focused on accelerating the pace of improvement in environmental performance in Canada's oil sands through collaborative action and innovation. Water is a high-value commodity and COSIA’s Water Environment Priority Area (EPA) is looking for innovative and sustainable solutions to reduce water use and increase water recycling rates at oil sands mining and in situ operations in order to achieve their aspiration to “be world leaders in water management, producing Canadian energy with no adverse impact on water.

Please join Chris Godwaldt, Senior Technical Advisor, Water (via Skype) for a presentation on COSIA’s current water challenges and how Water Institute members can help meet these challenges.
