DESCRIPTION:This conference will bring together some 50 scholars from Europ
 e\,\nAsia\, and Northern America to discuss aspects of political\, social\
 ,\ncultural\, and economic exchange mainly in the north-eastern\nMediterra
 nean and Black Sea (Pontus) region. The chronological scope\nwill be the w
 hole of Classical antiquity\, but the majority of papers\nwill concentrate
  on the 4th century BC to the 3rd century AD.
