The Waterloo Institute for Hellenistic Studies is pleased to announce a new lecture series, which will annually feature a distinguished international Greek scholar. This lecture series will deepen knowledge and foster pride and understanding about the importance of Greece and the role its leaders and peoples have played around the world. The goal of the series is to help ensure that future generations of Greeks, scholars, researchers, and the broader population will be inspired and intrigued by Greek language, culture, and history, as told through the lens of the Hellenistic period.
We are also pleased to announce that the first lecturer in this series will be Prof. Kostas Bouraselis from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Prof. Bouraselis is a noted scholar on Hellenistic history and we look forward to hosting him here in Canada in the fall. More information on Prof. Bouraselis’ talks will be forthcoming.
The Waterloo Institute for Hellenistic Studies would like to thank the Hellenic Heritage Foundation, whose generous and continued support has made this series possible.
