DESCRIPTION:TITLE: The role of nuclear energy in Ontario’s clean economy\
 n\nABSTRACT: As Ontario’s economy grows and shifts from fossil fuels to\
 nelectric-powered systems in the transportation and industrial sectors\,\n
 electricity demand will continue to increase over the next three\ndecades.
  Nuclear power will be critical in supporting this growth\nwhile ensuring 
 a reliable grid and maintaining Ontario’s clean\nenergy advantage. Danie
 lle LaCroix\, Bruce Power’s Senior Director of\nEnvironment\, Sustainabi
 lity &amp; Net Zero\, will discuss the future of the\nnuclear industry in Onta
 rio and Bruce Power’s approach to\nsustainability and Net Zero.\n\nBIO:
  Danielle LaCroix is the senior director of Environment\,\nSustainability
 \, and Net Zero at Bruce Power. She has worked in the\nenvironmental field
  for over 20 years and leads the company’s\nEnvironmental Protection and
  ESG program\, including the Net Zero\nstrategy.  Danielle provides strat
 egic leadership on\nsustainability-related matters such as climate change\
 , environmental\nstewardship\, stakeholder issues\, and interest managemen
 t\, and is\nresponsible for directing the governance\, coordination\, comm
 unication\,\nand management of sustainability-related issues for Bruce Pow
 er. \n\nDanielle is responsible for the development and implementation of
 \nstrong governance to ensure environmental protection and drive\nsustaina
 bility in Bruce Power’s operations and in our partnerships\,\npursuing a
 nd supporting local projects that will help meet our\nenvironmental sustai
 nability goals including mitigating climate change\nby sequestering carbon
 \, protecting our watershed\, biodiversity and\nwildlife habitat and maint
 aining important wildlife corridors. Using\noperational integration and fo
 cused consultation and collaboration\nwith key stakeholders and environmen
 tal regulators\, Danielle leads her\nteam with professionalism and integri
