Presentation by Bill Oldfield on the use Contribute Publishing Server

Adobe's Contribute Publishing Server is used in the Library to manage access permissions and support some of the extended features of Contribute (e.g. rollbacks). This is a standalone server that interacts with the Web server using sftp. The server maintains transaction logs and has helped the Library untangle a confusing maze of Unix file and group permissions. Contribute Publishing Servicer is also being used by Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) and will be used by Information Systems and Technology (IST).

Presentation by Isaac Morland on the Computer Science Content Management System

Isaac has developed a system to automate much of the housekeeping of Web management and separate Web content from navigation. Web pages contain text and simple html tags plus Web server directives. Navigation information for each page is stored in a database that is used to dynamically create navigation and content panels.
