This week's Web Dev Rev, guest-hosted by WCMS developer Liam Morland, started with a handful of notes:
- Drupal core committers meeting notes for June 7
- Drupal Association candidates for Director at Large
- what's new on Drupal.org for May 2018
- not phishing: Google is changing its login screen
Next, we moved on to watch a video on PHP7's new return type declarations and scalar type declarations.
Liam then demoed a practical example from code he'd been working on recently.
Following the demo, we watched the A11ycast video "Why do semantics matter?".
Again, Liam demoed a practical example of semantics, using a Twig template.
Finally, we learned what's new in Chrome 67 DevTools. Liam noted in particular that Chrome now has an "audits" tab.
Next Friday we return to "normal" Web Dev Rev sessions. We hope you'll join us on Friday, June 29th, in EC2 1021 (Millennium) at 11:00am.
