Word and PDF files on our websites, published as of January 1, 2012, need to be accessible as per the Accessibility for Ontarians With Disabilities Act (AODA) as of January 1, 2014 (WCAG 2.0 Level A).
This course will introduce you to accessible Word and PDF files, and will provide guidelines for making Word files, and PDF files created from Word files, accessible.
Note: This is an introductory course intended for beginners in using templates and styles in Word. This course does not cover creating accessible PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Pre-requisite: Familiarity with Microsoft Word for Windows. Introduction to Web Accessibility [SEW026] is recommended.
