In collaboration with Marketing and Strategic Communications and other campus partners, the WCMS team will be putting significant resources into redesign efforts over the coming year. This work will modernize the look and feel of campus websites, give more flexibility to site managers, and importantly, improve the experience for mobile device users.
Version 1.8.6 of the Waterloo Content Management System (WCMS) has been approved for release. This is a maintenance release with no new functionality outside of features provided by an updated web form module.
Effective July 1, Creative Services is changing the way it does business with the campus community.
“Creative Services will become a fully funded support unit within Marketing and Strategic Communications and will no longer charge University-designated units for its design work,” says a memo to faculty and staff from Vice-President, University Relations, Bob Crow. “A comparison of the invoicing model with that of a fully funded unit shows the change is cost neutral.”
