Scholar: How to manage site settings

Under Settings in UWaterloo Scholar you can delete ALL publications, add a Google Analytics Tracking ID, configure your MailChimp mailing list, set up ORCID integration, select Publication citation styles, clear the site cache, decide settings for blog comments, links, and FAQs, change events export settings, manage site visibility, configure SEO settings, set a favicon, set display settings, and manage taxonomy display. Only Site Owners have access to Settings.

Delete Publications

This is an option to permanently delete all publications on your Scholar site, allowing you to re-import a new list of publications.

Caution! This will delete ALL publications on your site which includes publications that were manually entered.

  1. Select Settings from the Administration bar.
  2. Under Delete Publications, select Submit.

  3. A new page will open confirming if you want to delete all publications. Select Delete.

Track your site analytics

Create a Google Analytics account if you don't already have one.

Already have an account? Create a Tracking ID for your UWaterloo Scholar website.

  1. Select Settings from the Administration bar.
  2. Enter the tracking ID in the Google Analytics Tracking ID field.
  3. Save.

Manage site privacy

  1. Select Settings from the Administration bar.
  2. Under Site Visibility select either Public on the web or Invite only during site creation.
    1. If you select Invite only, you can choose who has access to your site by adding People.
  3. Save.
