How to add LaTeX equations

  1. On the Administration bar, select My Workbench.
  2. Select Create/Manage Content and select the content type you wish to add LaTeX equation(s) to (like Web Page).
  3. Place your cursor where you would like the LaTeX equations inserted.

  4. Type the LaTeX equation surrounded by \​[ \​] or \​( \​).

    LaTeX can be added to pages either inline or block, like in these examples:
    1. Block of math: \​[\sqrt{x}\​]
    2. Inline math: \​(\sqrt{x}\​)

NOTE: Please don't copy and paste the symbols from this page - they won't render math (we've included a zero-width space, &#8203, in the source code to show the symbols on this page).

  1. Click Save.
  2. Your saved version will display the rendered math:

  1. Change the moderation state to Published and click Apply.

Here is a sample LaTex equation as output by the WCMS: \(\left \langle x|X|\Psi \right \rangle = x\left \langle x|\Psi \right \rangle\)
