Your to do list

Hey new Warriors! Your health and wellness is a top priority at Waterloo. Here are some resources you should know about before you begin classes in September. Whether you're in residence, off-campus, or staying at home for your fall term, we've got you covered!

Self-care isn't selfish:

Don't just take our word for it! Upper-year students Lassa and Gloire take you on a journey to keep your mind and body healthy while you adjust to student life. Although this video covers many in-person services - virtual services are available to students now and through the Fall term.

Understand your Health and Dental Plan

Apply for academic accommodations

We're committed to removing barriers and building capacity for personal success to ensure that all of our students can access and meaningfully participate in their education. Students with permanent, temporary, or suspected disabilities are encouraged to contact AccessAbility Services, Waterloo’s centralized office for the management of student academic accommodations, to register for supports and services.

Maintain balance of both mental and physical well-being

Your Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA) is here to support your physical and mental well-being while you’re studying at UWaterloo. WUSA builds community through clubs, events and services, advocates to improve your student experience, and has dedicated resources to support your health and wellness.

WUSA is proud to run the Health and Dental Plan, the Food Support Service and Empower Me - a 24/7 counselling service. We also offer peer support through our groups such as MATES (Mentor Assistance Through Education and Support), RAISE (Racial Advocacy for Inclusion, Solidarity and Equity), The Women's Centre and The Glow Centre. We know being a student can be challenging and we’ve got your back every step of the way!
