WiSTEM (Women in STEM) is offering free self-defence classes for women and trans-people in STEM. The course consists of a 2 hour class focusing on escape tactics, including physical and verbal techniques catered to women’s strengths.

Monday, March 24, 2014 — 6:30 PM EDT

WiE and EngSoc are hosting a free Beginner Hatha Yoga Class on Monday March 24th!

Limited spots available. Please sign up on the Orfice door. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Saturday, March 22, 2014 (all day) to Sunday, March 23, 2014 (all day)

The WISE (Women in Science & Engineering) National Conference in Toronto this March 22-23 brings together experts in technology, consulting, healthcare, and more for two days of student career exploration, workshops, networking, and $1000 cash prize competitions. Cisco, Accenture, Kyle Hill, Satish Kanwar, and Swati Mylavarapu are just some of the big names attending.

Women in Engineering would like to invite you to an exclusive event on on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

Hear from Engineering Dean, Dr. Pearl Sullivan, meet current students, and learn about the support the University of Waterloo provides its female students. You will also meet some of your future female classmates while working together on a mini engineering project.
