Consent is the free, informed, and continued mutual agreement to participate in an activity, especially sex. But what does that look like in everyday life? What if someone says that you or a friend broke their consent? Are you practicing consent skills in all of your relationships? Do you know what to do if you think you are witnessing sexual violence?
Join over a dozen campus, student and community organizations for an afternoon of 15 minute drop-in workshops focused on helping you build your toolbox for practicing consent in day-to-day life.

Alicia Flatt is a Career Advisor at the Centre for Career Action at the University of Waterloo. She advises undergraduate co-op students on resume and cover letter writing, job interview preparation, and success in the workplace. Her area of focus is supporting engineering students and aches the Co-op Fundamentals for Engineering lectures.

The #DistractinglyHonest exhibit uses interactive displays to highlight female scientists in visually stunning images.

General Electric (GE) Canada is influential in engaging and encouraging women to pursue engineering. Join Jennie An, Campus Programs Lead at GE, for an interactive and memorable workshop.

The WiE Whine & Cheese event is a chance to mingle with current students, alumni, and staff to discuss gender roles in STEM. Based on the work of Whine&Cheese, this is a great opportunity to discuss important topics on academics, student life, workplace, co-op, unconscious bias, etc. at University of Waterloo.
This is not a pity party! For every whine that is shared, a cheese, or reason to smile, should follow. Come on out for good people, free cheese and delicious mocktails. All are welcome:)

WE Go.DEsign is a two day Engineering Design and Research Competition for women currently enrolled in grades 10 and 11 presented by the Goethe-Institut. The Grand Prize will be a language, engineering and culture trip to Germany during Summer 2017! There are two elements to the competition, a Research Symposium and a Design Challenge.
