How to Volunteer with WiE
There are two volunteer commitment levels to choose from.
- The members of the WiE Outreach Squad are committed to helping out at as many major outreach events as possible during a specific term.
- Our general event volunteers can choose the specific events that they are interested in.
Reasons to volunteer with WiE:
- Share your passion for engineering with fellow students
- Welcome new students and applicants to the University of Waterloo
- Inspire the next generation of female engineers!

1. WiE Outreach Squad
Members of the WiE Outreach Squad are selected by application.
- These amazing volunteers are expected to volunteer over the course of the term.
- While not expected, this role often entails the opportunity to volunteer on Saturdays.
- You'll be able to select as many or as few events that you're able to come out and support
- Check out our events to see what's coming up each term!
- There will be a free dinner at the beginning and end of each term
- Squad members will receive some sweet apparel for participating
- This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to develop their soft skills while connecting with the broader community and inspiring a younger generation to explore engineering
