The Women’s Studies Society (WSS) is a collective of open-minded, intersectional feminists. The society's objective is to represent all undergraduate Women's Studies students enrolled at the University of Waterloo.
WSS provides resources for students to pursue academic and professional aspirations in gender studies, and creates a supportive and comfortable forum for sharing ideas. The WSS maintains open lines of communication between undergraduates and faculty, and arranges social events and academic activities for Women's Studies students.
Some recent Women’s Studies Society activities include "Feminist Fables" (a Murder Mystery), meet the author events and end of year social gatherings. WSS aspires to create a safe and comfortable learning environment, while creating and hosting fun social events for all feminists and Women's Studies students.
If you would like to get involved, please email Tawnessa Carter, or visit the Women's Studies Society office in HH 148.
