If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, this workshop is for you. You will learn how to communicate professionally in all of these academic contexts. Bring an email or letter that you have already written as you will get a chance to revise it and get peer feedback. Upper-year Science students will also be available to share their own experiences and answer your questions.
The best scientific writing is clear, concise and easily comprehended by its intended audience. Learn skills for writing in the sciences, including identifying and correcting common errors to write with precision and fluidity. We will work through several examples to apply the skills you learn in the workshop.

Attend this workshop to create your personal statement/letter of intent for professional/graduate programs. A series of activities will help you get started on this important document.
