Stephanie has taught writing and communication as a course instructor and one-to-one in writing centres for over ten years. At the Writing and Communication Centre, she coordinates our teams of drop-in and course-embedded peer tutors. She also supports undergraduate and graduate students individually. When she works with writers and tutors, she encourages self-reflection and talk about emotions to achieve writing and communication goals. She earned her PhD in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015 and her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame in 2009. Her scholarly interests include writing pedagogy, Writing Centre administration, Writing Across the Curriculum, community-engaged writing, affective components of writing, and multimodal communication. Along with her partner and two children, she spends her weekends eating delicious food and spending time with family and friends.
