Virtual Writing Café
Social distancing and writing-from-home make it more important than ever to build structure into your day and maintain ties to social writing communities. To help you stay connected and motivated, the WCC offers two virtual writing café sessions each week where graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty can write together.
Virtual Writing Café dates and times:
Tuesdays: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Wednesdays: 2:00pm to 4:30pm
Pick up a #WaterlooWrites incentive card at one of the WCC’s on-campus pick-up days or download the digital version. Each time you show up online and write, you'll earn a “stamp” on your card. Fill up your card with 12 “stamps” to receive a #WaterlooWrites coffee mug to show off your dedication and fuel future writing sessions!
We will be hosting these writing sessions through a virtual classroom in LEARN. We will be using the LEARN community associated with our #WaterlooWrites program – which ordinarily houses the 5-minute writing tips for our volunteer-run, faculty-specific writing groups. Feel free to check out the bank of writing tips while you’re there!
