Fall 2024/Winter 2025 Scholarship Application

New! Starting with fall 2024/winter 2025 awards and bursaries, you will only need to apply once-a-year for the chance to receive financial support from Renison. The process is simpler, faster, and more efficient for you and you will know if you will receive an award before your promissory note is due.

The application will open on Monday, June 17, 2024.

List of fall 2024/winter 2025 scholarships, awards and bursaries: Beacon Award, Bishop Arthur Brown, Bishop H.F.G Appleyard Award, Bishop Morse Robinson Bursary, Cuthbert Family International Award, Elizabeth Breithaupt Bursary, Eva Leflar Foundation Award, Faculty Endowment Bursary, Florence Li Tim-Oi Memorial Award, Hsiao D'Ailly Scholarship, Indigenous Student Award, John Budden Award, Judy T. Winterburn Bursary, KCCF Indigenous Student Award, Luke Winterburn Memorial Bursary, Meghan Reid Memorial Award, Minnie Mae Hanselman Bursary, Norma Brown Award, Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund Bursary, Paul Jeffrey Mesbur Memorial Award, RASC Bursary, The Order of St. Lazarus Bursary, Town and Gown Society Award, William Laing Memorial Award and Winston and Diana Cherry Award. 

The fall 2024/winter 2025 awards and bursaries:

  • the deadline for application is July 12, 2024.
  • only students with a UWaterloo ID will be able to sign in and fill out the applications
  • awards and bursaries that require a GPA are only available to students who have completed courses at the University of Waterloo or its affiliated University Colleges and who have official grades available for review in Quest
  • point form answers are preferred (please remain within the requested character count)
  • all academic requirements will be checked in Quest to ensure accuracy
  • you may save your application as a draft, and complete it at a later time
  • decisions will be communicated in early August

How to apply

1. Click one of the green login link near the top of the page.

2. Enter your WATIAM user name (do not add @uwaterloo.ca) and then your password. Once you have logged in, you can save your progress and return to the application at a later date if required. Your session will time out after a long period of inactivity. 

3. Choose all the scholarships to which you want to apply. Only one application can be submitted.

If no questions appear for a particular section (Financial, General, or Community) click next and move on. It means that no questions for that section are required for your choices.
