You’re looking for a strategic career in the digital media industry. You want to be a leader who innovates and thrives in this ever-changing industry.
The Master of Digital Experience Innovation (MDEI), offered only by the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus, will give you a superior advantage. It’s a professional degree that will prepare you to succeed.

The MDEI is an interdisciplinary program that is project-based. You will work the way you will in the field when you complete your degree – in teams working on core projects. Throughout the projects you will consult with faculty and industry partners. You will get hands-on experience with:

  • Team building
  • Business modelling
  • Marketing strategy
  • Critical cultural analysis
  • Design thinking

The MDEI program is available on a full-time or part-time basis. The full-time program is 12 months in duration. Students take courses over three consecutive terms: Fall, Winter and Spring.

Fall:

  • Working in Teams
  • Digital Media Solutions: Design
  • Principles of Marketing in a Globalized World
  • New Perspectives: Media History and Analysis

Winter:

  • Working in Teams
  • Digital Media Solutions: Project Management
  • Understanding the Consumer Universe
  • Media Innovation and Impact

Spring:

  • Projects

The part-time program is 24 months in duration. Students enroll in two courses per term over 20 months, and then complete a final project in the last spring term.

Fall:

  • Working in Teams
  • New Perspectives: Media History and Analysis

Winter:

  • Digital Media Solutions: Project Management
  • Understanding the Consumer Universe

Spring:

  • OFF

Fall:
