During the maintenance window a schema extension will be applied to Nexus to allow the implementation of LAPS on the latest Microsoft OS, also new Windows 11 GPO templates will be added to allow GPO management of this OS using latest features. No impact is expected.

We Will be rebooting the server for our ICT access control for windows updates. This will not impact the function of the access control. You will not be able to access the software for the time of the reboot.

On or around 8:00am on Wednesday the 17th of July, git.uwaterloo.ca will be restarted to apply application and security patches that should bring GitLab to version 16.11.6. Important note: This is the last patch for major release 16 before it goes out of support. Please review the list of deprecations and breaking changes in the next major release 17 that our GitLab instance will be upgraded to in August: https:/

The KMS service has been upgraded to support Windows Server 2022 /
Windows 11 kernel level activation. Please point to kms.uwaterloo.ca and officelic.uwaterloo.ca for all Windows OSs and Office 2013, Office 2016, Office 2019 and Office 2021 activations. If you have hard coded references to specific KMS servers like licsrv4 or licsrv5, please change the KMS host to the service alias: kms.uwaterloo.ca at your convenience. There is a 180-day grace period for systems and Office activated by KMS. There won’t be any impact to office activation using the officelic.uwaterloo.ca server.
