When it comes to editing apps for Digital Arts there is a variety to choose from. The most used are Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Then there are other websites or apps such as Canva or Adobe Spark. This article will be focusing on some editing apps for photography specifically. 



VSCO is a very useful app because it has the contributing factors of both an editing software and a type of social media. There are options to edit your posts and images on the app while also being able to post images and view other people’s art and photography. 


Lightroom is an adobe suite. Mainly used for editing colour, lighting, and filters on photos, this app is different than the rest of the adobe suites and their uses. When opening the app up, the user interface layout is a lot like the layout of photoshop. The true difference between the Adobe Photoshop software and the Affinity designer software is the level of compatibility Affinity has with various types of photo formats that are different than the formats that Photoshop is better suited with. It depends on the type of editing you would like done and the formats you are more comfortable using.  



In conclusion, there are various software’s you can use to edit and update your photos. Choosing the few hidden gems makes for a new learning curve and a variety of tools at your disposal.
