BMath ’91: Eldon Sprickerhoff, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of eSentire, helps the company announce a major business expansion and office relocating! After fundraising $47M, eSentire will be moving out of its Cambridge office, and into a much larger space close to the University of Waterloo.

BMath ’07, MACC ’07: Kasia Malz has recently been named CFO of Lift & Co. Corp.

BMath ’05: Peter Szulczewski, is named the youngest Canadian billionaire on the 2019 Forbes ranking. Peter is an e-commerce founder, a University of Waterloo alumnus and an ex-coder at Google. Following his stint at google, Peter launched ContextLogic, a software company that looks at a person's internet browsing history to predict their interests. In 2011 Szulczewski and university friend Danny Zhang re-launched the company as Wish.

BMath ’04: Alex Hoff, co-founder of Auvik, has been named a CRN Channel Chief for the second year in a row.

BMath '96, MACC '96: Cathy Smith, was named CFO of Intouch Insight Ltd.

BMath ’94: Alec Blundell has been appointed as executive vice-president and chief operating officer of the Co-operators Life Insurance Company. In addition to this distinction, he has also been names the president and chief operating officer for the CUMIS Group Limited.

BMath ’88: Professor Alison Gibbs was awarded the 3M National Teaching Fellowship, Canada’s most prestigious recognition of excellence in educational leadership and university teaching. She recently gave a talk at the University of Manitoba.

MMath ‘74 Computer Science: Hats off to Paul Cotton who was awarded a Technical/Engineering Emmy award for his chairing of the W3C HTML Media Extensions Working Group that produced the W3C standards that are used by Internet streaming services to deliver video content.

BMath ’05: Arda Ocal has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Talent: Program Host/Moderator for MSG Networks.
