Once again, GreenHouse wrapped up the term with a virtual version of the Social Impact Showcase, an event celebrating the journeys of social innovation/entrepreneurship by those student ventures chosen to receive funding from the Social Impact Fund.
Two top ventures, Cosmelo and Think Twice, awarded $2,500 and $2,000 respectively; created web browser extensions to help consumers make more sustainable and healthy purchasing decisions. Cosmelo focuses on sustainable cosmetics purchases, while Think Twice is geared toward providing insights on sustainable clothing options.

Talent Triangle was awarded $500 for their platform intended to help startups in making more educated hiring decisions. By using the platform, startups will increase employee retention and reduce company spending caused by high employee turnover rates.

Last but not least, Green In You won the People’s Choice Award, earning $1,000 for their clothing take-back program for brands and consumers to reduce the effects of fast fashion.

Beth Eden one of Corporate Knights Magazine's top 30 under 30
GreenHouse alumnus Beth Eden (BES '20) was recently named to Corporate Knights Magazine's annual top 30 under 30 sustainability leaders class of 2020.
Over the past 11 years Beth has immersed herself in several efforts related to sustainability, social entrepreneurship, environmental and youth engagement-related projects internationally and in Canada. As a graduate of UWaterloo’s environment and business program, much of her work has involved advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which guide global action on the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing the planet.
Beth is one of two members of the St. Paul's community recognized on this year's list which also includes International Development alumnus Graeme Reed (BES '14).
