It's time to celebrate!

Ginny DybenkoIt seems like just yesterday that we welcomed the first class of students into the Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) program. As they walked into our brand new building for the very first time in September 2012, we knew we were witnessing the start of something special.

And how special it has been.

We have seen the growth of these students from young adults to talented knowledge workers who are ready to take on the world. We have watched them develop new skills, tackle unprecedented challenges, and grow both personally and professionally. We could not be more proud of all they have accomplished.

Being the first is never easy. It requires a unique individual with the savvy to recognize a new opportunity, the bravery to forge a new path, and the tenacity to stick with it to the end.

These last four years have not been without challenges. There have been times of change and uncertainty – common experiences with any new initiative. And these challenges don’t stop after the final class project is done – they will continue as these students head out into a complex and turbulent world.

I am confident these graduates are game-changers. These are the leaders who will introduce new ways of thinking about digital design and its related applications. These are the innovators who will support organizations and they strive to achieve success in our competitive global economy.

Today we celebrate the inaugural GBDA Class of 2016. We can't wait to see all that they will achieve.
