Workshop: Tenure-track faculty reappointment and promotion

Friday, May 3, 2024 10:30 am - 12:00 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

The probationary contract period and applying for tenure can be intimidating. In this workshop, Lori Curtis, Chair of the Academic Freedom & Tenure Committee, will provide critical information on how to succeed and to ensure you know where and how to get your questions answered. She will  also clarify the expectations of your peers and of University policy during this process.

This in-person workshop will be held on May 3, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in  MC 4042.

This session is aimed at tenure-track faculty wanting information on reappointment or tenure. While the focus of the workshop will be the tenure process, the reappointment process is a subset of tenure process and can be discussed if there is interest. Knowing the tenure process well in advance of applying is helpful while you are work towards it. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.  Resources will be posted to our career workshops page, following the workshop.

Light refreshments will be served.
