DIANE BECKETT (MAN-ENV ’76) says, “I have worked in a dozen countries and across much of Canada doing sustainability, climate and environmental research, policy, planning, management and advocacy for governments, non-governmental organizations, universities, associations, and the United Nations. I currently live in Churchill, Manitoba on the tundra beside Hudson’s Bay. I look forward to reconnecting with UW friends during the virtual Alumni Reunion on June 5th.”

Nancy Flager-Wilburn

NANCY FLAGER-WILBURN (PLAN ’81) says, “I have been working in the real estate appraisal field since the fall of 1981. I worked in the GTA for several years, but after getting married in 1985, I moved to the Windsor area, where my husband was employed. I continue to work in appraising and since real estate was deemed an essential service I have continued to work throughout the pandemic. It is hard to believe that it has been 40 years since our class graduated. Looking forward to seeing many of our classmates at the time of the reunion.”

Deirdre Laframboise

DEIRDRE LAFRAMBOISE (MAN-ENV ’84) After earning a Master of Environmental Study (York University) Deirdre went on to co-found and lead an award winning charity 'Clean Air Champions' involved in sustainability and health (2001-2013). She was Executive Director of the Canadian Climate Forum and the Canadian Water Resources Association before working for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities as Director, Green Municipal Fund. Today Deirdre is Research Director at the International Alliance of Dermatology Associations focused on global, patient-centred research and advocacy.
