Assem Hussein received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2014 and the M.A.Sc. degree from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada in 2017. Since June 2017, he has been a Research Associate with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Waterloo.
His research interests focus on digital integrated circuits and high-performamce energy-efficient microelectronic implementation of information processing systems, stochastic computing and stochastic decoding of Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes.
