Conrad Grebel University College invites expressions of interest to undertake a research project on the history and legacy of the Toronto Mennonite Theological Centre (TMTC), which is closing in 2023.
A researcher will be engaged to write a critical history of TMTC drawing primarily from archival sources, current files, and TMTC publications, as well as conduct oral history interviews with around 10 people. Some of these may be group interviews. The result is anticipated to be an academic article, or articles. The Conrad Grebel Review will have the right of first refusal. A small reference group will guide and support the process.
Compensation: honorarium of $3000. In addition, up to $500 in expenses (anticipated to be primarily travel, printing, etc.) may be submitted for reimbursement. Send expressions of interest and CV to Jeremy Bergen, TMTC Director, by May 31, 2023.
