Vision and Digital Environment
Take a Break!
As university students, we immerse ourselves within these environments daily, causing an unprecedented amount of strain on our eyes (nearly 4 out of 10 students will spend nine hours on digital devices each day). Staring at these screens may lead to neck/shoulder/back pain, headaches, blurred vision, and dry eyes. Vision is a crucial aspect to student life, so protecting our vision against digital displays is important. For this and other health-related reasons, it is imperative to unplug and take a break from technology.

Get Moving with These Apps
Fitness Technology
A study by the University of Leicester and Loughborough University in England conducted a meta-analysis of 18 studies (involving roughly 800,000 participants) and found that sitting for long periods increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and death. While some of us are good at remembering to get active, it may not come with such ease for others. There are plenty of apps that can be used for this very purpose; they remind you to get active and take breaks from your work.
