Craig Fortier will lead the discussion on Abolition: Rethinking Anti-Oppressive Engagement. 

Craig Fortier (they/them) is an Associate Professor in Social Development Studies at Renison University College (University of Waterloo). They have organized for many years within migrant justice, abolitionist, Indigenous solidarity, queer/trans* and anti-capitalist movements in Tkaronto/Toronto. They are the author of Unsettling the Commons: Social Movements Within, Against, and Beyond Settler Colonialism and the Co-Editor of the upcoming volume Abolition Social Work / Social Work Abolition.
