Biography

Younglee Ha began her teaching at Renison University College in 2014. Before joining Renison, Younglee taught Introduction to Japanese Culture at Founders College, York University. She also served as the Executive Director of a Korean community-based non-profit organization that provides newcomer services and the Violence Against Women program. In recognition of her community work, Younglee received the Prime Minister’s Citation in 2015 from the South Korean government. Through her teaching, Younglee strives to build intercultural competence for students and enjoys identifying and employing effective learning strategies for Korean language acquisition for English-speaking learners.
