Thank you, CAO and COETF!
Since 1998, the School, through the Witer Learning Resource Centre, has been providing services to support evidence-based clinical decision making among our alumni and CAO members. These valuable services are possible through the generous support of the Canadian Optometric Education Trust Fund (COETF) and the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO). We are grateful for the support because it allows the WLRC to continue to contribute to the strong collaboration between practicing optometrists and the School. This partnership enhances student learning through externships and clinical supervision, the quality of eye care in Canada through the availability of resources that support research, and the evolution of the optometric profession by fostering a culture of life-long learning as the standard. The WLRC has continued to evaluate and update the scope of services we provide in response to input we seek from the optometrists we serve, as well as the ever-changing landscape of academic resources from paper based to current electronic formats. We look forward to expanding the resources we are able to provide through the generous funding we receive.

The AVSL Whitelist of Vision Science Journals is a collaboration between vision science librarians across the globe and seeks to support high quality journals in the fields of optometry, ophthalmology and vision science. The list is developed using evaluation criteria that help to authors and readers identify quality journals in an era when quality of information is increasingly difficult to determine.
