Title

What happens when we combine Relativity, Quantum Theory and Information Theory? From Cosmology to the Quantum Seismograph

Abstract

I will present some of the outcomes of my multidisciplinary research program of mathematical physics which combines relativity, quantum theory and information theory. After a quick overview of the programme, I will focus on two particular research lines: a) Quantum Collect Calling: the finding that flows of information can decouple from flows of energy. b) Quantum Entanglement Farming: the finding that entanglement can be extracted from vacuum fluctuations of quantum fields. I will discuss the more fundamental results that concern gravitation, cosmology and quantum foundations, as well as applications to metrology, such as a proposal for “quantum seismology”.
