Farah Mohd Fadzil

Hi everyone! My name is Farah, and my pronouns are she and her.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at UW, and I started working at CCD back in my first co-op term as a Client Support and Projects Assistant. Ever since then, I’ve continued to work here during my study terms with the Further Education team and then during my third co-op term as a Strategic Student Supports Coordinator. I really enjoyed working in CCD and working with the people. I wanted to continue working here, so after graduating, I started my role as a Career Education Liaison.  

Before I started my own co-op journey, I didn’t have a lot of experience and I wasn’t very confident in myself. I barely used resources on campus for career support - partly because I didn’t know about them, but also partly because I was afraid that I would be judged for my work – but this isn’t the case at all. My hope as a Career Education Liaison is to help change this and encourage more folx to reach out! I hope to talk to different groups of students and other folx on campus to gather information and feedback and then work on how we can address these concerns together. Outside of work, you can talk to me about desserts (anything chocolate!), baking, learning new languages, tv shows and Kdramas!
